Nestled amongst the hills of middle Tennessee, just outside of Nashville, you'll find Good Flower Farm, a 13-acre herb and flower farm that grows using only organic, biodynamic, and permaculture practices. We are situated in Joelton, a small community about 30 minutes northwest of the bustling metro of Music City. The land is bordered by two creeks on the south and west sides of the property, and we enjoy rich soil unique to "good ol' Rocky Top" Tennessee. The property also has a natural spring that runs year-round, which we use to irrigate our crops.
We are first generation farmers, Rachel and Jon Carpenter, who came to this land in hopes of expanding the availability of domestic, high-quality herbs to our region and share the beauty of the earth through flowers.
History of the Land
We purchased this property in the summer of 2017 and began growing on it in spring of 2018. The owners just prior to us grew a variety of vegetables and were certified organic for a number of years. They also raised chickens for meat and eggs.
We were fortunate to inherit the land from people who tended it well, and wanted to see it go into the hands of similar stewards.
